JEWELLERY CARE

Sissy Koukeri  jewellery is made from 925 sterling silver and/or 18ct gold-plated sterling silver. Sterling silver naturally tarnishes with the exposure to air and the environment as well as perfumes, lotions and perspiration. Silver is susceptible to damage by chlorine and salt. Avoid wearing silver jewellery when using chlorine or bleach, or while in a pool, hot tub or sea water.

Using the finest craftsmanship available, our gold plating is a layer of gold on top of sterling silver. Although solid gold or gold-plated jewellery will not tarnish like silver, it will get dirty with wear and chemicals, lotions, perfumes and moist conditions will corrode it. Gold-plating may in time slightly fade depending on wear and the amount of care taken. This gives the appearance that some of the gold plate has worn off.

We do offer a full re-conditioning service for all Sissy Koukeri jewellery in order to ensure that your jewellery returns back to it s original pristine condition. Please see details below.

Tips for ensuring that your beautiful jewellery is maintained in a mint condition.

Store your jewellery away from exposure to air/environment. A zip/lock plastic bag is a very practical and cheap way to do this. This will be especially useful for silver jewellery, as it will cut down on tarnish significantly.

Acid free tissue is an excellent way to store the jewellery.

Do not store jewellery next to heating vents, windowsills or in the bathroom. Damp and hot condition will cause the jewellery to tarnish badly.

Skin and hair products can react, causing the silver to tarnish and erode the gold. Perfumes, lotions and creams will tarnish and corrode the jewellery. Apply any scents or cosmetics before you put on your jewellery.

Remove jewellery when exercising, cleaning, gardening or any other rough or physical work.

Avoid wearing your jewellery at sleep

Hot weather, bright sunlight and perspiration can also speed up the tarnishing process and damage gemstones. Jewellery should always be taken off before the pool, shower or sea.

Gold-plated jewellery can be cleaned with warm soapy water and a really soft toothbrush. Then rinse thoroughly and dry well.

FAULTY ITEMS

Goods are classified as faulty if they are received damaged, or where a manufacturing fault occurs within one month of purchase. Please note that items that have been damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered to be faulty.

If your item is faulty (i.e. received damaged or manufacturing fault), we can offer alternatives such as repair or replacement.

DELIVERY & RETURNS

Ordering

When you send an order to us through this website for any of our products, your order represents an offer to us to purchase those products selected. We shall not be obliged to accept your order until your credit or debit card is debited or other payment method is cleared; and an email is sent to you confirming the order and stating that we have accepted the order to the e-mail address you supplied to us.

Prices & Payment

All prices and charges on this website are shown in € if you are based in the EU and include VAT (24%). Prices do not include any delivery charges. These will be shown separately (where applicable) during the order process. Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect orders in respect of which we have already sent you an order confirmation. We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard and PayPal.

Although we try to ensure all prices displayed on this website are accurate, errors may sometimes occur. If we discover an error in the price of an item you have ordered we will contact you as soon as possible. You will have the option to reconfirm your order at the correct price or cancel it. If we are unable to contact you, we will cancel that portion of your order that reflected the incorrect price.

Availability

This website features products that have been carefully selected for online shopping. All items are subject to availability. If items that you order are out of stock, or subject to a delay, we will try to contact you at the email address or telephone number you provided when placing your order. If we cannot contact you or receive no response to an email we send to you, we will cancel the part of your order that is unavailable.

Product Specification

Every care has been taken to ensure that the photographic representation, description and specification of each product are accurate. However, while the reproduction of colours is a close representation, a slight variation in the actual goods may occur.

Deliveries

All deliveries are sent from our trading office in Athens tracked and ‘signed for’ service for your security and convenience.

Shipping to Greece

 All orders are qualified for free shipping. Allow us up to 3- 7 working days to prepare and ship your order. Shipments within Attica have a delivery time of 2-3 working days, while for the rest of the network in Greece (mainland or island destinations) the delivery time is 2-4 working days.

All orders are provided by Elta Courier.

If you are buying a gift, we will be pleased to send it directly to the recipient’s home address. All our jewellery is supplied gift-wrapped in which you can store the item. Also if you are at work and would like your order to be delivered at an office address please let us know and we will deliver the goods as directed.

Shipping to the rest of the world

All orders are shipped with a tracking number. Allow us up to 3 – 7 working days to prepare and ship your order. Shipping time depends a lot on your location. Europe: approx. 3-5 working days. Rest of the world: normally 7-10 days but can be up to 3 weeks.

Charges to Europe through Hellenic Post have a 10€ rate and through DHL a 20€ rate.

Any overseas deliveries may be subject to customs delays. Please note that you are responsible for any import duties and clearance fees (where applicable). We regret to inform you that we are unable to deliver to P.O. Boxes.

Returns & Redeliveries

Should you wish to cancel, or return your order, please contact us at: info@sissykoukeri.com You have 15 days from the date of delivery to return unworn and unused products in their original packaging.

When shipping a return, please use registered post, or another secure method of delivery, retaining the receipt until you have received credit for your return. We regret that we cannot be held responsible for non-delivery or damage of returned goods.

The address for returns is: SISSY KOUKERI, 18-20 A. ZINNI Str, ATHENS 11741, GREECE. Kindly include a short explanatory note in your parcel.

In an unlikely event of your item arriving damaged please contact us immediately, and no later than a week from the day of arrival of your jewellery on info@sissykoukeri.com – we will be happy to assist.  The company will cover the shipping costs for such a replacement but if you decide to cancel this replacement you will be responsible for covering any shipping and handling charges that the company incurred in fulfilling your repalcement request. Regrettably we are unable to accept any returns for items if the above date has passed.

Please note that if the piece of jewellery that you have purchased has natural semi-precious stones or pearls, then it is not uncommon to have natural imperfections on the cut or look of stones. All our pieces are uniquely handmade and should be cherished as such.

Jewellery repair

All SISSY KOUKERI handmade jewellery can be repaired. You can contact us and receive our offer for the repair of your jewellery and then send us the jewellery you want to be repaired (at your own expense) at SISSY KOUKERI, If possible, you can bring the jewellery for repair to our atelier 18-20 , A. Zinni Str, , Athens, Greece( during business hours).

After checking it, we will inform you of the repair cost via e-mail.

Elective repairs

For elective repairs such as chain lengthening or resizing, service fees will apply. The customer is responsible for round trip shipping and handling fees. We do our best to accommodate requests, but due to the delicate nature of our products, some requests may be denied.

Return shipping

All return shipping charges are the customer’s responsibility and cannot be refunded. Please pack jewellery in a well-padded container to avoid any additional damage in transit. Shipping insurance is recommended but not required.

Any return without prior authorization will be refused and returned to the sender.
